This charter seeks to provide a framework, which enables our users to know :

 

·        The services available in the Institute.

·        The type/quality of services provided to the patients/healthy individuals.

·        Teaching and research activities in Yoga.

 

Service/facilities available:

 

·                     50 bed Hospital where treatment is provided through Yoga to outpatients/inpatients.

 

-                      Any patient seeking yoga therapy can come to OPD of the institute and consult the Medical Officer, dietician and yoga expert available from 8.30 a.m. to 3.00-p.m. on everyday except Sunday and Gazetted holiday. If hospitalization is required the patient may be admitted in the 50-bedded ward and subjected to thorough examination and investigations. Yoga therapy is prescribed both for indoor and outdoor patients. All consultations, examination, investigations and therapy to all patients are provided free of charge. Prescribed diet for indoor patient is provided free of charge.

 

·                     Yoga training to any healthy individuals.

 

-                      Anybody can get yoga training during the Yoga classes in the Institute without paying any fee after getting registered at Room No. 2 of the Institute.  

 

·                     Yoga counseling.

 

-                      Yoga experts can be contacted from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all working days. Any healthy person or patient can get the counseling and if required, may join yoga classes without paying any fee.

 


 

·                     One year Diploma in Yoga with intake of 25 candidates per year.

 

 

 

How to apply

 

 

 

Advertisement is released in the Hindustan Times (English) during May every year.

Prescribed form alongwith prospectus may be obtained from Institute free of cost.

Filled-in forms with attested copies of degree/marksheets/caste/photograph etc. along with Demand Draft for Rs. 50/- is to be submitted on or before last date to the Institute.

 

Eligibility

Any Graduate degree from a recognized university.

 

Age

25 years as on 1st July every year.

 

Number of seats

25 (General –21, SC-3, ST-1)

 

Selection Criteria

Based on merit (percentage of marks in graduation).

5% additional weightage for post graduate degree.

No other weightage for any certificate etc.

Selection committee consists of 3-4 senior most officers of the Institute and finally approved by the Director.

Period of training

One year.

 

Certificate

Diploma in Yoga is awarded to successful candidates.

 

Fee

Rs. 250/-per month for General candidates.

Rs. 125/- per month for SC/ST candidates.

Rs. 200/- as Examination Fee.

Rs. 1000/- Caution Money which is refundable.

 

Recognition

Diploma course approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Recognition from by University/Tech. Institute is under process.

1st batch started from July 1998.

 

 

Types of Services/Activities :

 

·        It is teaching-cum-research centre, also providing training and treatment through yoga.  The institute provides clinical research and medical aid on various diseases through Yoga.

 

Enquiries :

 

·        Institute is situated at 69, Ashok Road, Opp. Gole Dak Khana, New Delhi.  Enquiries may be made at the main gate and at OPD (Room No.2).  Information is also provided personally to the visitors and over telephone Nos. 3718301 and 3721472.

 

Casuality and emergency services :

 

·        There is no provision for emergency services.  However, one duty Doctor is available during the day.

·        In case of emergency, the patients are referred to R.M.L. Hospital or any other Government hospital.

 

Yoga classes :

 

·        Yoga classes for general training are held at :

·        6 A.M.              4 P.M.

·        7 A.M.              5 P.M.

·        8 A.M.

·        Yoga classes for women alone are held at 11 A.M.

·        Meditation class is held at 9 A.M. and 5 P.M.

 

Out Patient Department

 

·        Morning and evening OPDs are run from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M. except on Sundays.

 

·        Out Patients are treated through Yoga therapy.

 

Indoor Patient Department:

 

            Institute has a 50 bed hospital where treatment is done through Yoga Therapy to cure mainly the following diseases :-

 

·        Arthritis; Asthma; Back Pain; Bronchial Allergy; Spondylitis; Depression; Diabetes; Gastritis; General Weakness; Headache; Hypertension; Irritable Bowel Syndrome; Knee Pain and Obesity

 

Laboratory :

 

·        The Institute provides laboratory services free of cost .

 

Equipment & facilities available :

 

·        The Institute has X-Ray and ECG equipment.

 

Miscellaneous Facilities :

 

·        The Institute provides Yoga Article to the Sadhaks, Patients etc. for their use in the Institute.

·        The complaints and grievances are looked into by Sh. S. C. Jain, CVO Phone No. 373 83 01

 

·        All the above services and commitments will be honoured without the citizen having to pay any bribe.
